We stayed at Gleeson's in August and were torn between a big hotel on the outskirts and this one right in the city center — so glad we chose Gleeson's.
Our only concern beforehand was parking, since we'd heard it was under construction. It turned out to be a non-issue: there's public parking literally two steps away, and even with a stroller and kids in tow, it made no difference at all.
We had a huge room on the top floor, and everything felt fresh and newly renovated. The bathroom was a real highlight, and the storage throughout made the room feel almost like a small apartment.
The front yard and restaurant were wonderful — we had both dinner and breakfast there and would highly recommend it. The location is great too: Roscommon town isn't tiny, there's a playground just around the corner, plenty of coffee shops, and lots of small shops to explore.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and always happy to help. Thank you for all the work you put in — we're truly grateful!

The team at Gleesons were absolutely brilliant throughout our stay. We stayed for one night as part of a large group for a charity cycle event, and from the moment we walked in the door, Ben at reception greeted us warmly and made us feel incredibly welcome.
We had a group meal on the evening of our arrival, and not only was the food absolutely beautiful, but Angela, Katie and Leah all provided first-class service and looked after us all so well. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were all so friendly and attentive throughout the whole evening. In the morning, Claire was also an absolute treasure during the breakfast and beyond that. She honestly went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our group was incredibly well looked after.
The whole team are genuinely all such lovely people, and Gleesons truly gave us a fantastic Roscommon welcome. We would absolutely recommend staying here and cannot thank them enough for everything they did to make our stay as enjoyable as it was.

Lovely staff here, truly. My service dog was very welcome, they had to check in the restaurant but it was no problem at all in the end. The staff was super sweet to her as well. Our room was comfortable and clean. For breakfast there's a menu to choose from. I had full irish on the first morning which was very tasty. On the second morning I had pancakes which were fluffy and not too sweet. Coffee and tea in the room which was great as well. Thanks for the lovely stay.
